Work experience

Applications for a work experience placement should be in the form of a letter or e-mail outlining the courses that you're studying, your aspirations for the future, your reasons for choosing the arc and what you hope to gain from your time here.

Applicants must be over 15.

Are you interested in finding out more about the arc and the way it works?

This is a unique opportunity to work at Caterhams only arts centre and experience the many departments and roles which all pull together to create a varied and exciting programme across this exciting venue. We offer two, one-week placements each year, one in May/June and one in October/November for students in Years 10 or 11.

Your work experience will offer the opportunity to work in the box office, marketing, front of house and to see shows from a technical point of view and from the auditorium! You will also be able to experience work in costume, make-up or set design too.

We are looking for enthusiastic young people, who are outgoing and have a real interest in the behind the scenes working of an arts centre and all that it involves.

The ability to use a computer and the internet are beneficial as well the confidence to work with the public.
